Description
Werner Karl Heisenberg (born December 5, 1901 in Würzburg, Germany) was a German scientist and Nobel laureate, one of the most important physicists of the 20th century. He gave the first mathematical formulation of quantum mechanics in 1925 and formulated the Heisenberg uncertainty classification, which is one of the fundamental statements of quantum mechanics. This means that certain measured variables of a particle (such as its location and momentum) are not determined at the same time as desired. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1932 for the founding of quantum mechanics.
Heisenberg died in Munich on February 1, 1976, at the age of 74, and was buried in the tomb No. 163-W-29 at the Waldfriedhof in Munich.
