Westerende 2, Kirchengemeinde Filsum
Was a German veterinary practitioner, docu-soap actor and book author. Hanken learned agriculture to take over the parental farm. Later, he no longer practiced this profession, but was mainly active for horses and dogs in the style of a traditional East Frisian bone breaker. In this way, he gained supereregional prominence. He had acquired the corresponding knowledge from his grandfather. To perfection his abilities, he had practiced on slaughtered horses. At first Hanken also treated men; But he later gave up these treatments because he did not have the necessary authorization as a naturopath. In Filsum, with his wife Carmen, who was born in the Rhineland, he ran a horse farm where the animals could be treated. He traveled about three quarters of the year to treat animals at home and abroad. Several television broadcasts and broadcasts were produced via Hanken, including the almost 80-part docu-soap The XXL East Frisians for the NDR. The title of the docu soap goes back to Hanken's appearance: he was 206 cm tall and weighed about 145 kg. [8] He was also to be seen in the series "Unser Land" on the Bavarian Radio and guest in several talkshows. From March 2014 Hanken went on tour with a stage program Tamme Hanken - Der XXL-Ostfriese. He told stories of riders and horses and their problems. In 2015 he was on cable one in the multi-part reportage Ostfriesische Heilkunst to see. Tamme Hanken died on October 10, 2016, at the age of 56, in a sudden cardiac death. He found his last retirement in the cemetery of Filsum in the commune of Jumme, county of Leer. Source: Wikipedia
