At the end of 1954, she went to New York, founded Marilyn Monroe Productions Inc. with Milton Greene, and studied acting at Actors Studio at Lee Strasberg. For her character portraying in Bus Stop (1956), she received good reviews, for her role in The Prince and the Dancer (1957), realized by her filmproduction company, she was awarded a David di Donatello and an Étoile de Cristal. Her greatest success was with some like it (1959) in her typical role as seductive blonde, for which she was honored with a Golden Globe.
