Johann Peter Weissmüller (named Johnny Weissmuller, baptized as János Weißmüller, born June 2, 1904 in Szabadfalu, the Kingdom of Hungary, Austria-Hungary (today a district of Timişoara, Romania), † January 20, 1984 in Acapulco , Mexico) was an Austro-Hungarian, US-American swimmer, waterball player, five-time Olympic player and film actor. He was the first person to swim the 100-meter distance under one minute. After the end of his swimming run, he was world famous as a Tarzan actor in twelve Kinofilmen.

In 1984, Johnny Weissmüller died impoverished after several strokes in Acapulco, Mexico. When lowering his coffin into the earth, the world-renowned jungle shriek at the request of his wife Maria Baumann. On his tombstone in Acapulco stands simply "Johnny Weissmüller 1904 - 1984". Meanwhile there is also a stele with a memorial plaque. Also on his former house is a memorial plaque.

Johny Weisssmüller was buried in the Panteón Valle de la Luz, on the Gayosso Cementerioin Acapulco.
