Description
Diana, Princess of Wales, was the Crown Prince of the United Kingdom, who was the first wife of the current British heir to the throne, Charles from 1981 to 1996.
In the German Volksmund, Diana is still often referred to as Lady Diana, Lady Di, or Princess Diana, although she has not had the title "Lady" since the wedding.

During the 1980s, Diana had supported numerous charitable projects, including the British AIDS aid. After her divorce from Prince Charles, she committed herself to the abolition of landmines and continued to devote herself to disadvantaged people.

On the night of August 31, 1997, Diana and her friend, Dodi Al-Fayed, were driving at a speedy pace against a pillar in the Autotunnel under the Place de l'Alma in Paris. Diana died of the consequences of internal injuries, and the news of her death triggered a wave of shock and sympathy around the world. The event had devastating consequences for the prestige of the royal house, because its members were exposed to massive criticism because of their heartless perceptions. Contrary to the rules of the protocol, a public convocation ceremony was organized for Diana due to the overwhelming grief in the population on 6 September 1997. The effect that Diana had on the royal family still makes itself felt on some occasions.

After her death, Diana was nicknamed "Queen of Hearts," which Elisabeth Stuart, the wife of the "Winter King" of Frederick V, had already worn in the 17th century.

Diana became only 36 years old.
